School of Georgian Heritage: Empowering Our Youth through Language and Culture
The School of Georgian Heritage is the cornerstone program of our foundation, dedicated to preserving and promoting the Georgian language and culture for future generations. In collaboration with the National Center for Professional Development of Teachers in Georgia, we are proud to offer a comprehensive online language program designed specifically for children in the diaspora, where Georgian is taught as a Second Language.
This approach is essential for children born outside of Georgia, ensuring they learn Georgian in a way that acknowledges their primary language may be different. By teaching Georgian as a second language, we help children build a strong foundation in vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills, tailored to their learning pace. This structured method provides the right tools for children to confidently engage with the language and stay connected to their cultural roots.
Program Details
Classes are held twice a week via an online platform, making Georgian language learning accessible to children in the diaspora.
The program is funded by the Georgian Heritage Foundation, ensuring high-quality instruction and resources.
We offer multiple learning groups at different levels to accommodate a range of language proficiencies.
Enrollment & Placement Process
We welcome families interested in enrolling their children in the School of Georgian Heritage. After submitting the enrollment form, each child will go through a placement conversation with our team to determine the most suitable learning level.
The program is supported by the Georgian Heritage Foundation, and while the suggested annual donation is $500, participation is currently offered at no cost thanks to the generous support of our community.
Meet Our Teachers
Tamta Khutsishvili
თამთა ხუციშვილი

Tamta Khutsishvili is a certified teacher of Georgian language and literature. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Georgian Philology and a Master’s degree in Education Policy from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, where she is currently pursuing her PhD in Education Sciences.
Since 2016, she has been working at the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, currently serving as Coordinator of the Non-Formal Education Program, supporting distance learning for the Georgian diaspora. Tamta has also taught Georgian as a foreign language in private schools and co-authored educational textbooks, including “Stories from My Country” and “Parallels.”

Together we’ll learn with ease and joy, turning each lesson into a little journey.”ვარ ქართული ენისა და ლიტერატურის სერტიფიცირებული მასწავლებელი. ივანე ჯავახიშვილის სახელობის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტში მომენიჭა ქართული ფილოლოგიის ბაკალავრის ხარისხი, ასევე განათლების პოლიტიკის მაგისტრის ხარისხი. ამ ეტაპზე ვარ ამავე უნივერსიტეტის დოქტორანტი განათლების მეცნიერებების მიმართულებით. 2023 წლიდან მაქვს საჯარო სკოლის დირექტორობის უფლების მოპოვების დამადასტურებელი სერტიფიკატი. 2016 წლიდან დღემდე ვმუშაობ მასწავლებელთა პროფესიული განვითარების ეროვნულ ცენტრში. ამჟამად ვარ არაფორმალური განათლების პროგრამის კოორდინატორი, სადაც ერთ-ერთი სამუშაო მიმართულებაა ქართული დიასპორისთვის დისტანციური სწავლების მხარდაჭერა. აღნიშნული პროგრამის ფარგლებში ასევე ვატარებდი ქართულის გაკვეთილებს ემიგრანტი მოსწავლეებისთვის. ვმუშაობდი ქართულის, როგორც უცხო ენის მასწავლებლად კერძო სკოლაში „ახალი სკოლა“. ამ ეტაპზე ვარ ქართული ენის დისტანციური სწავლების მასწავლებელი არაფორმალური განათლების ქვეპროგრამის ფარგლებში. კერძო სკოლაში „ნიუ სქული“ ქართულის, როგორც უცხო ენის მასწავლებლად. ვარ თანაავტორი სასწავლო სახელმძღვანელოების:
1. ამბები ჩემი ქვეყნიდან“ - ქართული ენის დისტანციური სწავლების ხელშეწყობის პროგრამის ფარგლებში შექმნილი სახელმძღვანელო.
2. „პარალელები“ - საქართველოში მცხოვრები ლტოლვილი მოსწავლეებისთვის სახელმწიფო ენის სწავლებაზე ხელმისაწვდომობის მხარდაჭერის პროექტში შექმნილი სახელმძღვანელო.
ჩემს მოსწავლეს:
მინდა ისევე გიყვარდეს საქართველო, როგორც შენს მშობლებს, ბაბუა-ბებიებს უყვართ. შენი ქვეყნის განსაკუთრებულობის აღქმაში ქართული ენის ცოდნა დაგეხმარება. ერთად ვისწავლით მარტივად და მხიარულად — ისე, რომ ყოველი გაკვეთილი პატარა მოგზაურობას დაემსგავსოს.
Tinatin Burdzenidze
თინათინ ბურძენიძე

For over a decade, Tinatin Burdzenidze has been teaching Georgian in both public and private sectors and has extensive experience working with ethnic minority students. She is a certified teacher and holds a Master’s degree in her field.
Tinatin to her students:
“I’m writing to you from your Georgia. For me, teaching is not just a profession; it’s a path that brings you closer to your roots through the Georgian language. I want you not only to learn Georgian, but to feel it as part of your identity, to take pride in being its speaker and to understand that your success today shapes our country’s future. მაქვს ეთნიკურ უმცირესობებთან მუშაობის გამოცდილებაც. ვარ სერტიფიცირებული მასწავლებელი და მაგისტრის ხარისხის მქონე სპეციალისტი.

მე გწერ შენი საქართველოდან. ჩემთვის ეს საქმე მხოლოდ სწავლება არ არის - ეს არის გზა, რომელიც თქვენ, ქართულ ენასთან ერთად, საკუთარ ფესვებთანაც გაახლოებთ. მინდა, არა მხოლოდ ისწავლოთ ქართული, არამედ იგრძნოთ, რომ ეს ენა თქვენი იდენტობის ნაწილია. გაგიჩნდეთ სიამაყის გრძნობა, რომ ამ ენის მატარებლები ხართ და გაიაზროთ, რომ თქვენი წარმატება, უკვე დღეს, ქმნის ჩვენი ქვეყნის მომავალს. ვეცდები, გაკვეთილები იყოს იმდენად სახალისო და თბილი, რომ მათზე დასწრება გიხაროდეთ.
Nino Tediashvili
ნინო თედიაშვილი

Nino Tediashvili holds a Master’s degree in Literary Studies from Ilia State University and teaches Georgian Language and Literature at Public School No. 155 in Tbilisi. She is also part of the programs “Supporting Georgian Language Learning for the Diaspora” and “Access to State Language Learning for Refugee Students in Georgia.” In addition, Nino serves as a certified subject-matter expert for general education authorization.

ვარ ლიტერატურათმცოდნეობის მაგისტრი (ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი), - ქართული ენისა და ლიტერატურის მასწავლებელი. ამჟამად ვმუშაობ თბილისის N155 საჯარო სკოლის ქართული ენისა და ლიტერატურის მასწავლებლად. პარალელურად მასწავლებელი ვარ პროექტებში ,,დიასპორისთვის ქართული ენის სწავლების ხელშეწყობა’’ და ,,საქართველოში მცხოვრები ლტოლვილი მოსწავლეებისთვის სახელმწიფო ენის სწავლებაზე ხელმისაწვდომობა’’. ვარ ზოგადი განათლების ავტორიზაციის მოქმედი სერტიფიცირებული საგნობრივი ექსპერტი.ჩემს მოსწავლეს:
